In the United States, women cry 3.5 times a month, while men drop tears 1.9 times per month. Although society usually sees crying as a hint of weakness, if you feel you want to cry, do not control your tears. They indeed have more health advantages than we think.

High pressure of circulating blood on the walls of blood vessels can lead to several severe health issues like heart attack, stroke, dementia, heart failure, and even kidney failure. But the good thing is that according to some studies, crying reduces blood pressure and keeps it in check, and an emotional crying session can also steady the pulse.
3. Toxicity.
When you cry, tears that flow from your eyes can clear debris, like rubble, wreckage, smoke, ruins, litter, dust, and discard trash from the eyes. Also, if we cry, our teardrops wash toxins accumulated in the body because of stress. This removal of toxins helps decrease the cortisol (blood) levels in the body, resulting in a lighter mood. Hence, it is not unexpected that we often feel the heaviness disappear after a good crying.
4. Change Of Mood.
If you are thinking about why your response has turned aggressive and angry, and you keep feeling anxious and bothered lately, you should know that there can be no absolute answer. Mood changes can happen because of several reasons. One such reason is the body's accumulation of manganese (minerals). If we cry, these excess minerals flow out of the body with our teardrops. This decreases its concentration in the body. It makes you feel focused and calm.
5. Crying Is Good For Pain.
If we are in physical pain, some teardrops usually roll out involuntarily. This is the body's natural way of decreasing the pain sensation. Experts found that besides being self-soothing, shedding emotional tears discharges oxytocin and endorphins. These chemicals make people feel better and ease emotional and physical pain.
