In the United States, votes were not only cast for the presidential election on November 3, 2020, but Americans also voted for new members of the Senate, Congress, and lower house on the same day.

Also, on November 3, at least 10 states in the United States voted for the election of governors and state assemblies, but globally only the election of the US president received attention.

The election of the President, elections to the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the State Assemblies set many records, making the recent election a special election in history.

In the November 3 election, a transgender senator was elected for the first time in the United States, and two transgenders were elected to the State Assembly.

According to US broadcaster CNN, Sarah McBride, a 30-year-old transgender from the Wilmington constituency in Delaware, made history by winning the election.

Sarah McBride is not only the first transgender senator to be elected from Delaware, but she also became the first transgender senator in the United States.

She belongs to Joe Biden's Democratic Party and has served as the first transgender employee in the White House under former President Barack Obama.

Sarah McBride has also worked with organizations working for the rights of transgender people and has held key government positions in the state of Delaware on health, human rights, and gender equality.

Sarah McBride and two transgender state members have been elected for the first time in the US election.

Although the three transgenders elected this time set a new record, they are not the first legislators to be elected in US history. Even before them, such people have been elected from other states for the lower house and the state assembly.

However, first time, such people from the states of Delaware and Vermont have succeeded, including the senator's election.
