Why Was The Fly Created? | A King's Story

Once upon a time, the king of Khurasan sat on the throne after returning from hunting. His eyes were getting heavy with fatigue. A slave was standing beside the king. The king was so sleepy. When his eyes were closed, a fly would come, and sit on his nose, the king would try to kill the fly in anger, but because of sleep and carelessness; his hand would fall on his own face and he would wake up in a hurry.

When this happened two or three times, the king asked the slave, "Do you know why Allah (God) created the fly?" What is the wisdom of Allah in its creation? When the slave heard the king's question, he answered; which can be written in golden letters:

The slave replied, "My king! God created the fly so the kings and lords would realize that sometimes their power does not rest on a single fly."

It is said, the king was so fond of this slave. He set him free and appointed him his adviser.
