Experts say this is not possible and could take thousands of years. The 36 civilizations they have identified in the galaxy are an average of 17,000 light-years away. In astronomy, a light-year is about six trillion miles away.
But according to experts, an exciting aspect of this latest research is that it not only gives us an idea of aliens (other creatures in space) but also shows how long our own planet can survive.
