Depression is a silent and fatal disease that licks a man like a termite. It is called the mental state in which humans are depressed, sad or tense, and interest in life waned. It's not just limited to a specific gender or age; you can be a victim of any age. It can affect children, young and old.

Depression can occur for several reasons. Including domestic problems, business problems, severe physical illness, overuse, and unnecessary medication use, important occasions or events, regardless of happiness (for example, marriage, new business, etc.). However, two main reasons are top of the list, i.e., mental retardation and lack of awareness.

It is becoming more common worldwide, affecting approximately two hundred twenty-four million people. Its worst level leads to suicide. About eight million people die of suicide every year. Depression is the second leading cause of death among 15-30-year-olds.

Not every one of us is a doctor or a psychologist who can diagnose this disease immediately. There are some primary symptoms we may not understand if we can cure ourselves, but it is possible to help ourselves and others through precautionary measures.

Mental depression, feeling frustrated, feeling embarrassed and remorseful, not valuing yourself, feeling helpless, not feeling interested and happy in something, having a lack of physical energy or having difficulty remembering and deciding things, and many more severe factors ring the alarm.

It is commonly observed that those who suffer from depression or in which any such symptom appears are excluded from all social activities and relationships. People view them with compassion, and sad eyes, as their disease is further exacerbated. They are plunged into the quagmire of isolation. Communication with them is first reduced and then eliminated. People feel ashamed to be friends and have relationships with them. It gives them a moment to realize they must remain single; even those profound moments can force them to commit suicide. Ridiculously, many people are suffering from depression. But, they don't know why they treat others without considering the consequences.

This is probably why it is constantly growing and expanding instead of ending. If someone shows up with a grief status on social media, you consider it essential to comment immediately, while your loved ones may seem to be careless of you.

Sadly, we belong to a blind community where we must shed tears to assure sadness and illness, especially in the subcontinent. Often we deal with depression patients by treating them with unacceptable behaviors. All they need is humility, sincerity, and affection. We should be very gentle with them.

We should pay attention to them. We must restore their self-esteem and confidence. They should assure that they are not alone. If they are confused or frustrated about something, listen carefully in a positive direction. Instead, to let them be lonely, build social cohesion and relationships. They should be more engaged to stay away from negative thoughts or at least instill the motivation to fight their problems. Medical treatment is a must, but our social behavior is also very effective. We can help anyone; if we wish, we deliberately push the next one into the darkness. It's up to you to decide. I'll leave it to you.
