A man with severe abdominal pain was brought to Aswan University Hospital, south of Cairo, on Friday, according to details on Al-Arabiya.net. Examination revealed that he had a severe infection in his stomach and intestines.
After an X-ray of the patient's abdomen and other medical tests, the doctors believed that the patient needed an emergency operation to remove the strange substance that was causing the pain.
According to the hospital administration, a team of doctors managed to remove the strange object, but they were surprised to see that it was a mobile phone.
The mobile remained in the patient's stomach for six months due to which food got stuck in the patient's stomach.
