Pac-Man (Japanese: パックマン Hepburn: Pakkuman) is a maze arcade video game that was developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. and designed by Toru Iwatani. It was first released in 1980 and became immensely popular in the gaming world.

In the Pac-Man game, the player makes a Pac-Man, a yellow disc, run around a maze. The goal is to eat every yellow grain (circles) while not getting captured by the monsters. For additional cores, fruits that appear can also be consumed. When Pac-Man consumes a big grain circle, the monster turns blue and can be consumed. The Pac-Man game has 256 stages, but because of a problem with the creation of the game, the last level can not be ended.

Japanese people called Pac-Man to Puck Man in Japan. In the United States, the game was called Pac-Man so that nobody could replace the word "P" to "F." There were many series, sequels, and reboots based on the game. A company that made cartoon television programs and movies 'Hanna-Barbera' made an animated TV program airing on ABC in the 1970s. The game was also part of the video game compilation Namco Museum games.

Pac-Man was one of the first games to have an event scene (In-game cinematic). It has three event scenes in total.
